In the Lesson Plan/Ideas folder (see link below) we will collect teaching ideas.

Create a new page for each idea.

  • You can just give a short description of the idea or write the different stages of the lesson.
  • To suggest improvements to the idea, leave comments.
  • Whoever is interested can use the ideas for their classes, develop them to full lessons and even post their lesson plans to the wiki.
  • It would be nice to also leave some comments on how the idea/the lesson worked out.
  • If you want to add a complete course, simply create a new folder in the Lesson Plan/Idea folder.

---> Remember to tag your pages

General Principles/Methodology/Techniques:

  • Students seem to prefer open envirionments (beaches, rivers, parks) to closed ones (classrooms or even a cafĂ©).
  • Lessons should be communicative, interactive and engaging.
  • Students should have some control and choice.
  • Think also of self-access (e. g. touch various objects to see new phrases possibly with sound, links to e-books, or a class wiki or blog with resources (video, audio, voicethread etc.).
  • Think of an alternative meeting point (virtual classroom) in case SL is down.
  • Whenever possible, lessons should include Skills and Systems components.
